Questions

Things people
often ask

Do I need my own piano at home?
+

Yes — daily practice is essential to progress. A quality digital piano with weighted 88 keys is perfectly fine to start. Tanya is happy to recommend specific models for any budget during your free trial lesson.

How quickly will I notice improvement?
+

Most students notice meaningful progress within 6–8 weeks. Young beginners often play their first recognisable piece within the first month. Even 15–20 minutes of daily practice makes an enormous difference.

Where do lessons take place?
+

Lessons are held in Tanya's home studio in Rancho Santa Margarita — equipped with Steinway and Yamaha grand pianos and a full recording studio.

What if my child isn't interested in piano?
+

Many of Tanya's most passionate students started out reluctant! The teaching approach for young children is entirely play-based, encouraging, and never pressured. The goal is to spark genuine love for music first — technique follows naturally.

How does billing and scheduling work?
+

Lessons are scheduled on a recurring weekly basis. Tuition, scheduling, and studio policies are shared during your first conversation, so everything is clear before you begin.
